I am a Tampa native who is a Broker Associate in the Tampa Palms office of Florida Executive Realty. Currently completing my term as your 2020 Secretary, I now ask for the opportunity to continue serving you as I seek election as your 2021 Vice President for Greater Tampa Realtors®.
While you may know me as a Realtor®, you might not know that, while I was still in high school, I entered the broadcasting industry. I worked my dream job as a radio DJ, as well as a “behind the scenes” producer for several Tampa Bay radio stations. With an interest in the law, I returned to college to earn a degree in Paralegal Studies. Thereafter, I spent over 20 years working for some of the finest law firms in the Tampa Bay area. I was eventually hired to travel the country speaking at educational seminars attended by attorneys and paralegals.
I believe that my record as a leader makes me the ideal candidate for Vice President. In the past, I was instrumental in forming the Tampa Bay Paralegal Association, a professional non-profit association for paralegals. I served on that Board of Directors for almost a decade and proudly served as its President. During that time, I also served on the Hillsborough County Community College Paralegal Advisory Board and I’ve been certified as a Guardian ad Litem for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit.
I believe that ongoing education not only improves our profession, but also improves the service that we Realtors® provide to the general public. I have successfully earned the following credentials: ABR®, C2EX®, CNE®, GRI®, PSA®, SFR®. In short, I am passionate about promoting professionalism! In 2019, I achieved the goal of obtaining my Real Estate instructor license. In 2020, I became a Faculty Member for Florida Realtors®.
Locally, I am completing my third year on the Board for Greater Tampa Realtors®. I am serving on the Governmental Affairs Committee and the Technology Committee. On the State level, I am completing my third year as a Director for Florida Realtors® and serve on the Emerging Technology Committee. I also serve on the Board of the Realtors® Care Foundation.
During the last five years of my service, we have seen many great changes for the members of Greater Tampa Realtors®. From the numerous education classes being offered virtually to the David Knox video library, your leadership continues to seek and bring great value to you, our valued members. As we begin crafting a new 3 year strategic plan for our Association, I would like a seat at the table. In these times of uncertainty and change, continuity in leadership is vital.
I humbly request for your vote as Greater Tampa Realtors® Vice President for 2021.
